A conversion rate is the percentage of website visitors that complete whatever goal you have for them, be it buying a product or contact you about a service you offer. The higher the conversion rate obviously THE BETTER!

This straight forward formula will help you!
- Conversions ÷ total visitors
- x 100
- Round up to 2 decimal points
- Add a % sign!
There you have the simple version. You can go deeper and find conversion rates from ads/facebook/instagram etc but this simple one is a good place to start.
WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR CONVERSION RATE?
A conversion rate gives you a baseline from which to judge your websites performance. How do you know if you are improving if you haven’t got something to compare to?
