We might like to blame SEO or the behind the scenes for a high bounce rate but to be honest if people don’t like your site for any number of reasons then they will skedaddle! Do you want to focus more on one aspect of your business? Then bring that to the forefront. Now is the perfect time to set strong foundations to scale your business. You need to make sure that your content is relevant, and your website is easy for you to add new content to for ongoing success.
3. Is your customer journey easy to follow?
Is there options to complete the action you want them to (book a call, buy a product, sign up to a mailing list) throughout the website. It needs to be easy but not too forceful. A helpful hint that they can complete their purchase juuuust over here…
4. Is your navigation easy to use?
Try not to hide too much away in sub menus – the more clicks it takes the more potential customers you can lose. Discuss which parts of your website are integral to your brand with your web developer, your key offers or products and make sure they are at the forefront. You want visitors to see EXACTLY what you do and why they should take a look around as soon as they land. If you make it easy, they are much more likely to hang around.
5. Is your website mobile friendly?
If the answer is no then you are in severe need of an overhaul as most people view websites on their phones over desktop computers.
6. When is the last time your site was updated?
If you are talking a couple of years then it might be time to take a look. If your website never changes it becomes stagnant and you don’t want that to be a part of your business model! Your site will always need tweaking – be it with new images, products, offers, downloads.
